Sights of Rotterdam

Rotterdam Sea Beach

Strand - Hoek van Holland

Just 38 minutes from Rotterdam City Center with Metro line B, you’ll find yourself at the beach. The Dutch call it Hoek van Holland, which translates to ‘The Corner of Holland’.

Relax at one of the cosy beach clubs, enjoy food and drinks, or take a walk along the beach and boulevard. Watch sea ships entering the Port of Rotterdam, or visit the Atlantic Wall Museum. Explore the WWII bunkers or step inside Fort 1881. From Hoek van Holland, you can also see more of the Port of Rotterdam by taking the Hoeksveer bicycle and foot ferry to Portlantis. The ferry operates during the summer season, from April to October. Be sure to check the timetable and the Portlantis website for opening times.
